>

> Macho builder wearing throng in a construction site
> intensifies the heat under the sun; an elderly sits in Yoga
> position amazes everybody passes by; a felonious looking
> housewife investing in the stock market chokes people up.
> Not to mention the creepiness of a ghostly hand stretching
> out from the ATM machines. All these weird-yet-funny
> pictures are the fruits our flaneur photographer Fu Chun Wai
> received from his wandering all these years. The fruits are
> nonetheless spectacular, amusing, wacko and fun.
>
> I have had known Fu for years. The usual description of a
> senior reporter only shows you the hardship of the
> profession; however it is far from enough in giving you a
> general impression on Fu! To me, he is of a bit of luck,
> some patience, quite skilful and very gifted. On top of all
> these qualities, what make him such a talented photographer
> are his utter sincerity, passion which never dies out and
> sensitivity to explore the world. Fu once told me that he is
> willing to wait for a perfect shot for hours, even
> re-visited the site in order to capture the best moment.
> Every piece of his work is no easy task.
>
> This collection of works can be interpreted as a "Pandora's
> Box". Instead of mishaps, Fu's Pandora's Box only gives you
> his discovery of joy and happiness. An unforgettable Hong
> Kong is presented to all readers. This photo collection
> reflects a passion of life _ not only through the picture,
> but also from the attitude of the photographer. This indeed
> sheds light and warmth to this hectic and senseless city.
> Also, this album brings every Hongkonger a hymn in
> glorifying love and joy.
>
> HULU Concept supports local photographers to publish their
> works to promote local visual culture. This time we present
> you Fu's Happy Hong Kong. Perhaps this gives us hope and
> courage to face the upcoming adversity at the time of global
> Financial Tsunami. It is my great wish that Happy Hong Kong
> could bring warmth to every corner in Hong Kong, and melt
> down the ice wall which blocks us from being congenial.
